What Happens After Your Slab Leak Repair?

After slab leak repair, we guide your dry-out, clean our work zone, and check back to prove the leak is gone. The fix is half the job. The days after count too. Here is how to dry the zone, what signs to watch, what our guarantee covers, and when to call us back.
This is step 5 of our slab leak repair process. For the lead-up, see what went on at your visit.
How Should You Dry the Area After a Repair?

Water may have sat under your slab for weeks. The zone needs time to dry, even with the leak fixed.
- Move air. Open vents when the air is fair. Aim fans at the fix zone. Air flow dries more than heat does.
- Run your fan on “on.” Set your HVAC fan to run, not auto, for a few days. It pulls damp air out of floors and walls.
- Use a dehumidifier if you have one. Set it near the fix zone. Empty its tank as it fills.
- Leave the zone bare. Keep rugs and mats off for days. Damp must rise and leave.
- Give it time. Slab dries slow. A week or more of air flow is the norm.
Your tech will note if your fix needs more dry steps.
Should I worry if the zone feels cool or damp? Not in the first days. Slab holds damp. A week of air flow tends to clear it. If damp grows, call us.
What Signs Should You Watch For?

Watch for return signs in the weeks past your fix. Early eyes keep small issues small.
| Sign | What it may mean | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Damp comes back | The fix may need a look | Call (833) 542-3027 |
| Warm floor patch | A new leak may hide | Mark the spot, then call |
| Musty smell | Damp sits trapped | Boost air flow; call if it stays |
| Bill stays high | Water still gets out | Read the meter; call us |
| New cracks | Past water moved the slab | Call us for a look |
Most fixes hold with no trouble. This chart is just your net.
How long should I watch? Watch close for one month. Then fold it into home care. A bill glance. A floor feel. That is all.
When Should You Call Us Back?
Call when something looks off. We are open 24/7. The phone is our sole contact: (833) 542-3027.
Call fast for pools of water, water sounds under the floor, or a damp spot that grows. These are the same red flags as pre-fix. They earn a fast trip.
Call for small worries too. Is a smell the norm? Is the zone dry yet? We would rather hear from you soon than have you worry.
Will a call-back cost me? If it ties to our fix, our guarantee has you. We make it right. Your tech spells out the terms before work starts.
What Does Our Guarantee Cover?
Our word is plain. If our work is not right, call us. We will work to make it right.
The guarantee wraps the work our techs did. A fix that fails gets fixed. A zone left a mess gets cleaned. We do not fight it. We come back and set it right.
What we need from you: call when you spot a snag. Let us see it first. Do not hire new hands to redo our work before we get our look.
How long does the guarantee last? Your tech gives exact terms for your fix type before you say yes. Ask at the price chat if you want it in print.
How Do We Leave Your Home?

Clean. We mat work zones. We wear shoe wraps. Junk leaves with us. Floors get swept where we stood.
Before your tech goes, they walk you through the done work. They show what, where, and what to watch. Ask till you feel sure of all.
What if I find a mess when they are gone? Call us. A clean zone is our bar on each visit. If we missed a bit, we come back and fix it.
Our full visit bar is in Our Service Standards.

FAQs
How long till the fix zone dries?
A week or more, most times. Slab dries slow. Keep air flow with fans and your HVAC fan. Keep the zone bare.
Is a musty smell normal past the fix?
Light smells can cling while damp dries. Boost air flow. If the smell grows or tops two weeks, call us.
What if my bill will not drop?
Give it one full bill term. If use stays high, read your meter with taps off. Then call (833) 542-3027.
Do you check back past the fix?
Yes. Check-back is step 5 of our plan. We call to prove the leak is gone and you are glad.
May I lay rugs back on the zone?
Wait till it is bone dry — a week at least. Trapped damp under rugs slows dry-out and can breed mold.
What if a new leak pops up somewhere else?
Call us. Pipes age as one, so a new leak can come in time. We will look and lay out picks with set prices.
